Diabetes,

I know how much this disease can take from people. The frustration, the fear, the daily decisions…

But I’m also thankful for how I’ve grown through it.

Before my diagnosis, I wasn’t always consistent about taking care of my health. But diabetes made me pay attention. I couldn’t just wing it anymore.

And through that, I became stronger, healthier, and more disciplined.

And not just for myself, but for my family too.

Diabetes also gave me a community I never expected. When I see someone else with diabetes at the store or at the gym, there’s an instant connection. Sometimes you don’t even have to say the words. You just know, “You get it.”

Becoming a Dexcom Warrior has given me another way to be part of that community, share my story, and connect with people who understand the highs and lows.

Diabetes has taken a lot.

But it’s also given me a lot.

Through all of the highs and lows, I’m thankful for what I’ve found along the way.

Back to the letters

A letter to diabetes.

If you could say anything to diabetes, what would you say?

A Letter to Diabetes creates a space for people around the world to put into words how they feel about their diabetes journey.

This is about everything you’ve wanted to say, but haven’t found the words.

A letter to diabetes

Throughout November, we’re inviting you to share your letter to diabetes. Whether you live with diabetes, are a caregiver, a healthcare professional, or simply love someone with diabetes, we want to hear your story.

Share it any way that feels authentic to you, through photos, audio, video, or a handwritten letter.

Stories will be reviewed before posting, and while we value every submission, not all stories will be published.
